Smart Design

The Glamtainer is a designed-from-scratch, purpose-built penthouse in a box. It’s not merely a converted container. It comes with CSC Safety Approval, meaning it can be shipped as a container anywhere in the world. And can easily be moved by rail and road from one site to another.

You can open the long side of the Glamtainer, using a hinge. The long door is used for the extra floor and the unique rail system, you need to slide out the extendable part of the Glamtainer. The part that gets “out of the box” is made out of double glazed windows and an insulated roof, all in a very strong watertight steel frame.

Opening and closing the Glamtainer Skylounge takes you 10 minutes, and can be done manually by one person.

The fireproof gypsum board walls are fixed to a light cage metal framing first treated with fire retardant and highly insulating spray foam. Your “out of the box” extension is made from reinforced, double glazed windows and a fully insulated roof contained within a strong, secure, watertight steel frame.
